 I want to take a look at a word that is key to this passage
 lively The Bible is of itself its own dictionary quick Active 

The King James bible is far superior to the other versions 

The other versions take the word lively and change it to living in 3 of the 5 times the word shows up in your bible 

I would say 3 of the more important verses in your bible. 

You may be sitting there and thinking to yourself what difference does it make they mean the same thing. 

I beg to differ with you. 

A thing may be living and yet not lively, but a thing cannot be lively unless it be living. 

Ill. When I was young, I would go fishing with my Grandpa, catch little Bluegill swallow the hook They would offer no resistance You knew they were alive, but they were very passive 

On that same trip my grandfather caught a Northern Pike about 30 to 35 inches long. He landed him in the boat and it was alive, but not passive at all In fact it was quite lively Thrashing around the bottom of that boat snapping at anything and everything Bit my grandpa in his hand as he tried to get it under control. 

Now there is a difference between living and lively.

He has taken something that was dead and made it alive 

But not just alive but also tho thrive 

Joh 10:10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. 

We are not just to merely live as a Christian But to thrive
 lively Lively Stones Spirited Animated Passionate Excited Live our life in Christ with gusto world to see that who and what we are is 

real
 Not just sitting in a pew taking up space Alive but not lively 

2 Lively Oracles Steven is preaching to the Leaders of Israel

 But it is alive God takes something that is dead to men and makes it alive not just alive but lively 

How does this world view this book dead Out of date antiquated irrelevant 

Heb 4:12-13 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. 13 Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do. 

It is active Working Lively
 It is or will work in you Change you Conform you 

1Th 2:13 For this cause also thank we God without ceasing, because, when ye received the word of God which ye heard of us, ye received it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which effectually worketh also in you that believe. 

Do you believe the word of God? perfect without error? The truth? Do you believe it is alive? Do you read it? 

If you expose yourself to this book It will change you Without you knowing it It will produce fruit in you Pleasing unto God 

3 Lively Hope 

1Pe 1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, 4 To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you, 5 Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. 

Here is another contradiction if you consider what transpired before the res. The hope of the disciples was in the Lord Jesus Christ He was the Messiah 

Healing Feeding the masses 

And he ends up on a cross
 There is no hope there
 But when he rose from the dead We now have a sure hope A lively hope
It is active Something exciting Beyond our wildest dreams
because of the Res We have an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and 

that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you, That is not the inheritance that you work for to rule in the Mill 

This one is given to you because you believed on Christ for your sal. This is not just a living hope But a lively hope exciting 

Something to wait for with great anticipation 

1Co 2:9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. 

He was the one come from God to establish the Kingdom again to Israel Make all things right 

Dies and buried in a tomb All hope was lost Dead 

Behold he cometh Heaven what a wonderful place 

4 Lively Enemies 

Ps 38:19 But mine enemies are lively, and they are strong: and they that hate me wrongfully are multiplied. 

They are just as active in their pursuit as a sold out Christian is 

1Pe 5:8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: 

The devil is not just merely living Existing But is lively As a roaring lion Seeking whom he may devour
 He is active Could say he is passionate 

I urge you Implore you Encourage you To be lively in your Christian life 

Not merely existing Get actively involved Passionate about living for Jesus Christ 

you have passed from death unto life To live a life more abundantly with an active living book With a lively hope of heaven 

To fight against a real intense enemy
 What an exciting life God has given us if we will participate
