Posted in That's In The Bible - Podcast on November 18, 2016 by thatsinthebible

All of us will go through physical pain, emotional pain, and heartaches, these are all things that even all the insurance in the world cannot shelter you from. Everyone goes through stages in which they ask God; “Why do You allow us to suffer?” If you have been saved for any length of time you know all too well that one of the most frequent questions you get asked is, “Why would such a loving and good God allow so many bad things to happen to people?” Let’s take a look at what God’s word says in regards to this very important and timely question.suffering63 Right-Click Here To Download

SHOW NOTES

• God created mankind and the Earth without pain, suffering, or death: Turn with me to (Genesis 1) To truly understand why God allows suffering, we have to start in the beginning, In Genesis Chapter 1 we have the account of God creating everything, and look what He says in regards to His creation: (Genesis 1:4, 12, 18, 21, 25, 31)—READ— God created a perfect place that was very good, there was no pain, no disease, no sickness, no sin, and no death. What an amazing place for Adam and Eve! It was a paradise! But we all know it didn’t stay that way. God warned Adam that if they disobeyed and ate of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil that they would surely die that day (Genesis 2:17). Now we all know what happens, Eve eats of the tree, and then gives to her husband Adam, and because they disobeyed God’s commandment they had to reap the payment that they were warned about. Adam and Eve spiritually died that day, and because of this: (Genesis 3:16-19) sin death, pain, and suffering came into this world (Romans 5:12-14)—READ—
• We need to understand that it was never God’s will, plan, or desire to have even an ounce of pain death or sorrow in our lives. Continue reading

The Whole Armour of God

Once you get saved you get thrust into the midst of a war that’s been raging since God kicked the devil out of heaven. Being saved you are now a soldier in a battle, and God admonishes you to be a good soldierII Tim. 2:3 says, “Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.”

II Cor. 10:3-4 says, “For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: {4} (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)”  According to these verses we are not in a physical battle, but rather, a spiritual one.

I Tim. 6:12 further indicates this truth as it tells us to “Fight the good fight of faith.

This same truth is also evident in Ephesians 6:12, “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. There is an unseen spiritual battle that is being fought on a spiritual plane and not visible to human eyes.  The Bible pulls back the veil and makes us aware of this battle, at times giving us glimpses into its technical workings. See Daniel ch. 10 & Job ch. 1 & 2 for example. The Christian has an adversary.  Our adversary is the same adversary that God has.  Our adversary is the devil.  “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:” (I Peter 5:8). Now, though he is a formidable foe, it should be noted that the devil can’t make you do anything.  You have a free will and you make your own choices. The Lord’s Supper

-{Matthew 26:26-29} “And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessed it, and brake it, and gave it to the disciples, and said, Take, eat; this is my body.  And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, Drink ye all of it; For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.  But I say unto you, I will not drink henceforth of this fruit of the vine, until that day when I drink it new with you in my Father;s kingdom.”

1) What is the purpose of the Lord’s Supper?  It has 3 main purposes:

A) For us to remember Jesus Christ’s sacrifice on the cross  to pay for our sins, for us to never forget how large the cost was to redeem us, the cost was His own life.  Jesus said ; “This is my body, which is broken for you“, and ” This is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.” {Matthew 26:26-28}. In {1st Corinthians 11:24-25} “…this do in remembrance of me…do ye…in remembrance of me.” Continue reading

The Mystery of Iniquity Part 2

Who is the Antichrist?

2Th 2:7 For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.

Mysteries

1 1Ti 3:16 And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.

2 Col 1:27 Christ in you

3 Eph 5:32 Body of Christ

4 Rom 11:25 Temporary Rejection of Israel and it’s Restoration

5 Rev 17:5 Babylon the Great

6 I Cor 15:51 The Rapture

7 II Thess 2:7 The Antichrist

As the counterfeiter it stands to reason if:

God is manifest in the flesh – Satan will be manifest in the flesh

God’s ministers are required to be faithful stewards of the mysteries of God

1Co 4:1-2 Let a man so account of us, as of the ministers of Christ, and stewards of the mysteries of God. 2 Moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful.

Do you think God put those mysteries there to stay a mystery? Then Continue reading
